The Divine Story How a Vision Created an Amazing, Skin Rejuvenating Formula     My life changed in an instant one night. I was lying in bed languishing in that wonderful twilight that comes just before falling asleep.  Even though the room was dark and my eyes were closed, I could see a small, 3”x5” notepad with blue lines and a spiral top. On it was a list of ingredients. At the top of the list was Icelandic sea kelp. (I’m of Icelandic heritage but had never heard of such a thing). Also on the list were ingredients I recognized and another that was unfamiliar.  I was so comfortable in the twilight that I didn’t want to get up and write it down even though I knew it was important.  A beautiful ‘voice’ in my mind said to ‘get up and write it down now’ and that ‘I wasn’t going to get a moments’ sleep until I’d done so’. I am so very grateful that I listened to that exquisitely beautiful voice. The next day, like a bolt of lightning came the realization that the list of ingredients was a gift from God and my wonderful spirit guide, my dad Hannes Arthur. I ‘knew’ the formula was a facial masque treatment and that it was going to help people. My job in receiving this gift was to create the skin care product and make it available and affordable for everybody.   One problem. I had ingredients but no formula.  It took about a year of trial and error, experimenting on myself and my neighbors before I had it just right.  Years of sun damage and freckles disappeared from my complexion almost immediately. My neighbors had the same results.  Blackheads gone, pores shrunk, fine lines disappeared and the skin had that kind of fresh translucent glow that’s normally reserved for children.  It was as if our inner light was shining through our skin!  In fact we all looked so much younger and fresher so quickly, that friends of friends and total strangers were coming to my door with empty jars asking me to fill them’ with some of that amazing green goo’! A grass roots word of mouth business had begun and has grown like wildfire ever since!   I made lots of disastrous mistakes along the way to product perfection by idiotically changing the ingredients and/or the manufacturing process.  Many of my foibles are in The Wonderment section of my book ‘Never Trust a Woman with Lip Gloss on Her Shoe’.  They’re pretty funny.  It’s available on this website and also from Amazon.com.                            I believe my vision was a gift from God and from my father, Hannes Arthur, for whom I named the company. Hannesdöttir means Hannes’s daughter in Icelandic.   I believe what animates all people in this life is God and that we carry that divinity within us.  I am grateful every day for the gift of a vision that heals and makes people look as beautiful on the outside as they are in the inside.  Without question, my biggest joy and greatest blessings are having the honor of working with my sister Cheri, husband Bob and mom Beverly in the business.
